How do I know if I have rosacea?
Rosacea is notoriously hard to diagnose, even by professionals. After having treated a significant number of our patients for rosacea, we’ve compiled a checklist that you can go through. If you identify with most of these, you most likely have rosacea. If you’re unsure, we recommend making an appointment with our doctors to have your skin analysed in person.
How many treatments are required to see results?
We recommend 6 to 10 treatments, each session two weeks to one month apart, with maintenance as required.

What results can I expect?
Results vary from person to person, though most report a suppression of active acne-like rosacea bumps due to the reduction of inflammation, rosacea flare ups, and sebum production almost immediately. Clearer skin and improved skin health are achieved through multiple treatments.
Rosacea is incurable. But its symptoms can be managed and flare-ups can be avoided. The Rosacea Soothing Laser soothes rosacea flares. After that, a prescribed cream should be used daily to maximize results.
Are there any side effects?
While the Rosacea Soothing Laser is non-invasive and hence has little to no downtime, there are still theoretically possible side effects, such as:
- Itchy skin which can be treated with an antihistamine and is preventable with advance planning. Tell us about your medical history, including hives/cold sores.
- Mild redness and tingling for a few hours post-treatment
What are the post-treatment instructions?
Normal activities can be resumed immediately after treatment. However, rosacea patients should do well to avoid any factor that can trigger a relapse, as described in our Rosacea Checklist.
