Effective and long-lasting acne and pimple treatment. Treated by our aesthetic doctors with a plan built around your skin.
Get acne & pimple treatment that is long-lasting and effective. At SL Aesthetic, we will create a treatment plan that suits you, combining different solutions for the best outcomes.
Unlike traditional treatments, our acne laser treatment penetrates deep into the skin to:
Eliminate acne-causing bacteria
Reduce acne inflammation
Promote healing, ensuring visible improvement and long-lasting, clear skin
Acne and sensitivity often occur together. Inflamed breakouts, visible redness, and skin that reacts easily to active ingredients or harsher treatments. Treating both at once requires a gentler and customised approach.
Our doctors assess your skin barrier alongside your acne condition before recommending a treatment plan. This may include adjusting laser settings, spacing out sessions, or combining laser with calming, barrier-supportive care to reduce irritation while still targeting acne-causing bacteria and inflammation.
What this looks like in practice:
A consultation that considers both your acne severity & your skin's sensitivity threshold
Treatment settings adjusted for reactive or easily-irritated skin
Aftercare guidance focused on barrier repair, not just acne clearance
Ongoing review so your plan can be adjusted if your skin reacts differently than expected
Our doctors are experienced with utilising laser technology for effective acne treatment
We consider your health and skin condition before advising you on acne treatment
10 locations islandwide for your convenience
We provide comprehensive aftercare instructions for a smooth recovery

Doctor-Decided Treatment Plans
Your treatment plan is written by your doctor, not a sales coordinator. You leave with a medical protocol, not a package.
Full Treatment Range
Our doctors have experience across lasers, energy-based devices, injectables, and medical-grade topicals. Your protocol draws from the full toolbox, not just what one treatment can do.
We Recommend What You Need
No oversized packages. No pressure to commit beyond what your skin requires. If you’re not a suitable candidate for a treatment, your doctor will inform you.
Doctors Trained by Our Medical Directors
Our aesthetic doctors are personally trained by our senior medical directors, following a structured internal training pathway before they treat patients independently.
Mondays to Fridays, 10.30am to 9.30pm
Saturdays, 10.30am to 8.30pm
Sundays, 10.30am to 7.30pm
Patients with mild to moderate acne typically require about 3 to 6 sessions, while those with moderate to severe acne may need up to 9 sessions or more. Treatment sessions are performed once every 2 weeks.
Results are gradual and accumulative, so the “final” result can only be seen after your final session.
The causes of acne are multifaceted and complex. While lasers help control a portion of these causes, future acne formation may arise due to other factors. Therefore, our doctors may also recommend complementary treatments such as oral medication, topical medication, and ethosome gold PTT serum, depending on your individual condition.
Each session can take around 15 to 20 minutes. An optional 30 minutes numbing can be done prior to the session if desired.
There are no side effects other than slight redness and mild swelling of the treatment area. These will subside in a matter of hours.
There is no downtime and you are free to return to your daily activities. We recommend that patients avoid prolonged sun exposure for the next few days to prevent hyperpigmentation.
Pre-treatment instructions: ensure that you’re in a good state of health and not suffering from any bacterial, fungal or viral infection in the treatment area. Always disclose your full medical history during consultation, including supplements and other medications you may be taking.
Plan ahead; avoid any ablative lasers at least 4 weeks prior, and schedule your treatment at least 1 week ahead of a special even as the skin may take up to 7 days to fully heal from the laser.
Also inform the doctor at least a week before treatment if you have any history of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) on the treatment area so that the appropriate medication can be prescribed to prevent an outbreak.
While pregnant women are free to enjoy this treatment, you must also inform your doctor about your pregnancy, or plan for pregnancy or if you are nursing.
Inform your doctor if you have other skin conditions (e.g., eczema, psoriasis) or have any unusual or allergic reactions to any ingredients or topicals.
Do not use products that can cause irritation such as alcohol-based facial products, abrasive scrubs, and toners or products containing glycolic acids or Retin A.
Post-treatment instructions: after each treatment session, avoid prolonged sun exposure for the next 7 to 10 days. Also avoid tanning beds or tanning booths and sunlamps. Continue to wash and moisturise your face with a gentle cleanser and moisturiser for the next few days and always use sunscreen.
It can also be considered should other acne treatments prove unbeneficial, or if the patient is unable to receive other acne treatments or medications.
Any healthy adult looking to treat an active acne condition, no matter how mild or severe.
The Laser Acne Treatment may be unsuitable in the following circumstances:
Following your laser procedure, you can do a gentle, machine-free basic facial 2-3 days later. For treatments such as I2P1, M22, and RF, we recommend waiting for a duration of 2 weeks.
Sensitivity on its own does not rule out treatment. During consultation, our doctors assess your skin’s reactivity alongside your acne condition, and treatment settings can be adjusted accordingly. Some patients with sensitive skin may be advised to start with a lower setting or a longer interval between sessions.
Inform your doctor of any products, ingredients, or treatments that have previously caused a reaction. This information is taken into account when planning your treatment and aftercare, including which post-treatment products are recommended for your skin.
